Research suggests that a parent who is actively and consistently
engaged with their child can add the equivalent of 2 to 3 years of extra education
to that student over a school career. When parents are engaged, children get better
marks, have fewer discipline problems and are more likely to be successful in their
lives. Through regular communication systems like SMS, written reports, conducting
of Open day etc., Parents are regularly updated on the progress of their children.
Parents are welcome to discuss their children’s individual progress with the
concerned class teacher or Principal at a convenient time. PTA meetings are
conducted often to provide an opportunity for all parents to voice any concerns,
suggestions or ideas.
Parents get a comprehensive look at their child’s life at school and
experience the infectious love of learning which comes with accomplishment. All
children thrive on praise; this is an opportunity for parents to reinforce the love
of learning that is part of our philosophy. At Godson, we firmly believe that
parents play a vital role in the education of their children and the school
encourages a healthy co-operative parent-school relationship. In brief, parental
engagement is high on our agenda.
